Healing Timeline for Brow Tattoo (PMU)

Day 1 – Immediately After Procedure:

  • Brows will appear bold, dark, and more defined than the final result. This is normal because the pigment is fresh, and the skin is still healing.

  • Some redness or slight swelling around the brow area is common.

Day 2-4 – Scabbing Starts:

  • The color may look even darker as scabbing begins.

  • You may notice some tightness or slight itchiness as the brows start to heal.

  • Avoid touching, scratching, or picking at the area to prevent scarring.

Day 5-7 – Scabbing/Flaking:

  • Scabs or flakes will start to form, and the pigment may start peeling off.

  • The color will appear much lighter underneath the scabs, but don’t worry—this is temporary.

  • Continue aftercare, like keeping the area clean and moisturized, but avoid excessive moisture or rubbing.

Day 8-14 – Brows Lighten and Soften:

  • Most of the scabs should be gone, and the brows may look much lighter than expected (sometimes even too light).

  • This is part of the healing process; the pigment is still settling beneath the skin.

Day 15-30 – Color Settles:

  • The brows will begin to darken slightly again as the pigment resurfaces and settles into the skin.

  • By the end of this period, you’ll start seeing a more defined shape and color, closer to the final result.

4-6 Weeks – Final Results:

  • By now, your brows will be fully healed, and the true color and shape will be visible.

  • A touch-up session may be needed around this time to perfect the brows, adjust color, or fill in any areas that healed unevenly.

Remember: Aftercare is key to achieving the best results. Avoid direct sunlight, excessive sweating, and skincare products with active ingredients around the brows during the healing process. For any concerns, don't hesitate to reach out!
